Cristolite

What is Cristolite™ ?

Cristolite™ is a lightweight stone panel, combining a thin layer of natural stone and composite board reinforcement. Its principally designed for external cladding, but is suitable for many applications.

Cristolite is our innovative, highest performing lightweight stone panel. It is designed to meet the stringent demands of today’s construction industry. It is particularly well suited for cladding for its fire and mechanical performance.

Improving on our tried and tested lightweight honeycomb stone, we offer a panel that gives higher performance values than previously possible. The superior strength characteristics of our reinforcing board manufactured to a precise, scientific degree ensure a lifelong performance. Bonding only a thin section of stone reducing the comparative weight to nearly 65% less than traditional stone cladding.

Panel Benefits

Lightweight

Reducing from 40mm to 15mm of stone offers a significant weight saving. Aiding handling, installation and minimising structural costs.

Euroclass A2 - Fire Resistance

We offer an A2-s1-d0 fire test approved lightweight stone panel. And it's also suitable for buildings over 18m.

Greener than you think

Using 70% less stone and a composite backing board reduces the need for natural resources. It also reduces our carbon footprint for transport.

Superior Mechanical Performance

Great performance ratings in impact, hot, cold, frost and wet conditions. Our backing board is inorganic, negating any biological or pest infestation.

Great Acoustic and Thermal

Our lightweight stone panel provides excellent thermal and acoustic properties, helping reduce thermal and acoustic transmission.

Large Panels

The panels strong mechanical performance allow to scale up to large sizes with panel sizes up to 2.6m x 1.25m. Their rigidity ensure no bowing or warping.

Material & Finishes

As a company ingrained in natural stone, we offer assistance in choosing a suitable material in both performance and finish for your project. From a simple idea on colour or finish, we can help guide you towards a material that meets your criteria.

Check out our material guides with regards to materialsfinishes and a selector guide to help offer an introduction on choosing the right material. The materials we have in our gallery are but the tip of the iceberg. There are thousands of both natural and man-made stone choices available.

SPECIALIST FINISHES

We are open to pushing the design capabilities of traditional stone. Whilst we can control the finish of the material, we can provide even further machining to create unique finishes. Check out our project gallery featuring a unique Jura limestone feature wall at Next High Wycombe, utilising a 3 tone machined finish.
